Many cats react negatively to certain essential oils. While experts are not in agreement regarding safety issues with cats, it is generally believed that very limited exposure to quality pure essential oils diffused in a well-ventilated area is a better option than using synthetic or adulterated fragrances. Be sure the cats have an easy exit from the room using a diffuser.
